HomeZone "Boosters" Are Potentially a Fire Hazard!

The so called "boosters" which are mere Fixed GSM Cellular Terminals (see our note) have strangely enough stripped of their original external power supply (and battery pack?) by SamoaTel. Instead a third-party, multi-voltage (why?) power supply (at high cost) has been used. The problem with these third-party power supplies is that the setting can be inadvertantly changed (e.g. by a child, or accidentally by plugging in the unit) to a lower voltage thus causing the power supply and/or the "booster" to overheat (due to higher current throughput). This is a potential fire hazard that needs to be taken seriously! In addition, the connector of the third-party power supply can easily be "unplugged" (inadvertantly by stepping on the cord, etc.) at the universal type joint making it a guess work to reassemble with correct polarity! In this context it is worth noting that no technical data plate is available on the "booster" unit and no manual is supplied by SamoaTel to the customer for the "booster" nor for the third-party power supply!
